Mindfulness
Brain noise
Ever since the mid 80s, and the introduction of the mobile phone, things have radically changed for the average person. Suddenly everybody was always at the end of the line 24/7. Twenty years later in 2005, Facebook was launched in the UK, and subsequently the world changed exponentially.
Now, modern life is a constant stream of notifications, external stimuli vying for our attention, deadlines & endless pressures from work.
There is so much "noise" constantly going on in our heads, that studies show that the average person's brain activity today is that of a schizophrenic in the 1950s.
No wonder there is a mental health epidemic.
Right here, right now
People are either stuck in the past, regretting their decisions and wishing they could have done things differently, or they are projecting ahead to the future and worrying, stressing about what is to come.
With Mindfulness, learn how to take control of your situation. Learn acceptance and have a non-judgemental approach to yourself and others. Learn how to live your life in the present and not to waste time and energy trying to deal with your past and future.
The way forward
After an initial consultation, sessions are on a one-to-one basis. These are either in person or via skype/zoom depending on location, and can be anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour long.
Groups classes work really well by the bringing together of likeminded souls. The support of the group takes away the feelings of having to work through things alone.
Workshops and short courses can help in workplaces and within organizations.
