My Story
As a young man back in the late 70's I left school with no clear career path other than to try and become a tournament golf professional, so started working at a couple of north London clubs. The truth was I was never going to be good enough to make a living playing golf and plagued with back injuries and an cripplingly, over analytical, destructive mind, I decided to quit playing. During my golfing days and my quest to improve my "mind", I was given "the Inner Game of Golf" book written by Timothy Gallwey which piqued my interests, introducing me to the world of alternative perspectives. So I went on a journey to explore and study various ethos to try and steer me on my path through life. I was introduced to meditation and a very early form of mindfulness, both were seen in those days as very "left field and flaky" (I still vividly remember my boss phoning my parents to voice his concerns that I was "being brainwashed and joining a cult").
With the arrival of family and mortgage payments, I stumbled in to what turned out to be a successful career working for various retailers. It became very apparent to me that I could only be successful if I had strong teams around me, so people development and their progression became my key focuses. I attended a multitude of personal development courses, studied and qualified as a Life Coach so I could fully support and develop the people in my teams at work and in their everyday lives.
In the past ten years, I have started playing golf again for fun, qualified as an EGTF teaching coach while working at American Golf, helping several golfers with their physical, and more importantly, mental game.
It is now my focus and purpose to help people achieve their aspirations, their goals, helping them in their every day lives, as well as improving aspects of their golf game through their mental game.
